Two New Ideas I learned about Ancient Roman Lifestyles:

One new idea I learned about was the Roman Army and that it was divided into legions of about 5,000 men.A Legion was divided into 10 cohorts. Each Cohort was divided into 6 centuries.
The second new idea I learned about was that for the first 500 years in Rome, divorce was unknown. Groom had to be at least 14yrs. old-bride at least twelve.

One Navigational Strategy:

I found this information by clicking a link that I was interested in. I saw the military, clicked on the icon, and scrolled up and down reading the information. I did the same for Weddings.

One reliable Source:

One the website I saw at a link at the top for "ancient Roman Resources". When I clicked on it, I noticed that the project used for this information listed all the different credible sources they got their information from. This shows me they are referencing work that is credible.

Informational Resource:

I enjoyed how this wikispace provided several different links for all age groups, some more informational and loaded, and others more easy to navigate and colorful, things that would persuade a fourth grader to keep searching.I especially enjoyed reading about the barracks set up for the ancient roman army, and they provided colorful drawings and diagrams that help a fourth grader visualize easier.

1. (Using the cite above) Think back to your reading!!! Click on the icon: Roman God and Goddesses. When Jack and Annie were learning about myths, which God listed here was mentioned in the reading? Feel free to venture back into your books to find the answer.

2. (Using the cite above)List three interesting facts you researched on the Roman Army. Remember to make some inferences as to why they did things the way they did:

1. (Using the 2nd cite) Find the icon in this website that gives you information on the builders and wonderful historical buildings. Can you make any connections with this information and the buildings that Annie and Jack possibly visited?

2. (Using the 2nd cite) What did the Romans build when they needed more water for such a big city or town? Why is this an important concept to grasp in the reading?

Extra Credit: (Using both of the cites) I want you to think about what life is like for you today. Think about our food today, our houses today, and the laws and regulations in our society. Now compare those with all the information you have already explored in your Ancient Rome Discovery. Would you rather live in the days of the ancient Romans instead of now? Explain your answer-give examples:
